At any moment of his choosing*, Taako is capable of scrolling back time by five seconds to effectively 'reroll' a botched action or spell. As time moves to catch up during the rewind, Taako is unable to cast spells or take any additional actions— and afterwards is left somewhat drained of energy. *This ability can only trigger in response to extremely negative or disastrous stimuli, and not on a whim.
If he attempts to repeatedly activate this ability in rapid succession (ie: fail, redo, fail, redo) to circumvent a problem, he will exhaust himself to the point of collapse, with a maximum cap of using this ability twice per day. Downsides also include confusion and slight dizziness upon rewind and broodmates will experience deja vu.

Do you believe in magic? Of course you fucking do. Mostly because hanging around Taako means hanging around with an extra-spooky ethereal presence that definitely isn't the symbiotes themselves. Call it a hunch, because nothing else will register as evidence aside from that faint, faint ghost of a sensation. Otherwise broodmates might get pinging urges every now and then, like a need to steal, or a general desire for acknowledgement, or maybe just a feeling of temporal displacement, like a bookmark stuck between the wrong pages.
